I still remember being told: "you have to go see a radiologist". The thought was paralyzing.
But He turnout to be the most inspiring specialist I have on my medical team.I just walked out of his office.
You would think that being told I have 30 sessions of radiation ahead of me would crush me. But he gives me hope and reassurance that all is well. That it will be over. That even though I still have a lot ahead of me, the worse is behind me.
After examining me today he says the tumor has dramactilly reduced. He wouldn't be surprised if what is left is only scar tissue at this point. Months of chemo paid off. Wow, that feels good to hear! And yes, being told that my hair will start growing back in spite radiation is awesome, too. I can be vain afterall, right?!
